Vibrating Alarm Clock Pillow

Whether you’re trying not to wake others, or simply need a more discrete way to wake up, there are few options out there besides a loud alarm to get you up. The Vibrating Alarm Clock Pillow is the world’s first support pillow with a built in vibration alarm, allowing you a comfortable sleep with a brilliantly subtle wake-up function. Simply set the alarm before you go to sleep, and allow the pillows strong internal vibrations to wake you from your slumber without disturbing others, or opt for a loud audio alarm if you need some more kick. Currently only available in Japan but retails for approx US$145.

Buns 'n' Guns

At "Buns and Guns" you can order a "Kalashnikov" sandwich from a bullet-shaped menu, prepared by chefs in military fatigues with the roar of explosions as background music.

This new fast food restaurant in Beirut's southern suburbs, where the Hezbollah movement holds sway, was the brainchild of co-owner Ali Hammoud. He said the war theme was a novel concept that had nothing to do with Lebanon's bloody recent history.

What do you get when you cross Scrabble with a Keyboard?

Ever wondered what a keyboard would look like if it had Scrabble tiles for keys? This one of kind Keyboard has had so many responses that they are considering making a batch. The creator from Datamancer.net explains the concept:

"
This keyboard was commissioned by a couple of friends of mine from back east who are avid Scrabble players. Most of the keys are made from real Scrabble tiles that were all hand-beveled (truly an exercise in patience/masochism!) and built onto a USB, clicky, mechanical-switch keyboard. This keyboard was going into a Mac environment so I decided to use brushed aluminum for the casing and round all of the corners to keep with the sleek, simple Macintosh styling. Near the end of the build, I decided that the keyboard looked a little too minimalist so I added some silver hardware and a seam to put a slightly industrialized twist on the design."

Mickey lights up

This clever Japanese industrial design of a Mickey Mouse Desk Light, has a top light enclosure with the ears. It is a bit of an obvious concept although what makes the design great is the added touch of making the base of the lamp have the buttons from Mickey’s pants.

A yummy sleep

This bed comes from Kayla (Austin TX USA) who quotes...

"saw an amazing video - Hamburger: The Motion Picture and their dorm room beds were hamburgers. I couldn't shake the idea of a Hamburger Bed! I bought a round mattress from the 70's and made everything else myself... (with the exception of pickle chip pillows I received from a wonderful friend). It is 8' in diameter (I love saying my bed has a diameter) It stands about 3' tall. It is the most comfortable bed I have ever owned... ever".

If you have Facebook you can become a fan of The Hamburger Bed or just check out the rest of the pictures by following this link

Bad day? Shred it away!!

The Chrono-Shredder is a wall calendar designed by Susanna Hertrich that shreds the days as they pass. It takes a full 24-hours to shred a date, but only 10 minutes to run a dead hooker through a wood-chipper.
