Now, finally the work of the Gnome Liberation Front is beginning to make sense. In Belgium this week, we find a gathering of hundreds of Nazi garden gnomes -- a bizarre counterpoint to the Nuremburg Rallies, that heralded Hitler's rise. These sinister little statues are part of German artist Ottmar Horl's Dance of/with the Devil.

Snail Car

Instructables is holding a contest where the most amazing HOWTO, as selected by the readers, will win $20,000 worth of Craftsman tools. There are nearly 200 entries, from a car that runs on trash to an LED hula hoop to a six-legged robot. All of the projects are amazing for different reasons. Our vote goes to The Golden Mean of Jon Sarriugarte and Kyrsten Mate's dreamy Snail Car.
